Pamela Sue Martin began a
successful New York modeling career at the age of seventeen. It quickly led
to a role in her first feature film “To Find A Man”. Her second feature
film role found her starring opposite Gene Hackman in “The Poseidon
Adventure”, the year’s highest grossing film. Several notable feature film
and television appearances followed including “Buster and Billie” and “Our
Time”. Pamela achieved another milestone starring in the title role in the
hit ABC Television series “The Nancy Drew Mysteries”. She left behind her
teen idol status when she next starred as the sultry temptress Fallon
Carrington on the TV Series “Dynasty”. Pamela portrayed the headstrong
daughter of oil magnate Blake Carrington for four seasons. The series
co-starred John Forsythe, Linda Evans and Joan Collins and was produced by
Aaron Spelling. It became a world wide mega-hit and was the definitive
television experience for the decade.
Pamela continued her post-Dynasty career by co-writing, producing and
starring in the feature film “Torchlight”. Numerous top-rated TV movies and
mini-series followed, including “Bay Coven” with Woody Harrelson and “Strong
Medicine” with Patrick Duffy and Dick Van Dyke. Most recently, Pamela
toured the United States and Canada in a stage production of “Beau Geste”.
Through her own theatrical production company she has appeared in “Marvin’s
Room” and Sam Shepard’s “Seduced”.
Pamela has appeared on over one hundred magazine covers including “People”,
“TV Guide” and “Harper’s Bazaar”. She has always devoted time to charities
including “P.E.T.A.”, “Save The Whales”, “Greenpeace” and various human
rights and AIDS organizations. Pamela enjoys athletic pursuits,
especially tennis, scuba diving and skiing. She spent a decade playing
polo with the Piaget Celebrity Polo Team.
